How to Start a Networking Business

Starting to network can be a bit intimidating. You may feel as though you are committing yourself to meeting and engaging with people that speak a different language than yours. In particular, it would feel utterly wrong to go to a networking event and pick up the phone only to call a complete stranger throughout the event. That’s why you need to work with a buddy, a practice known as ‘buddy-philing’.

Some things that are important to keep in mind when you get to people you’ve never even met include:

Develop an action plan about how you will transition into a peer group for real business connections.
